Welcome to SL Cinema. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SL Cinema website and services. By creating an account or using SL Cinema, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. ELIGIBILITY

SL Cinema is intended for individuals aged 18 and older who work in, or are seeking to work in, the Sri Lankan Tamil cinema industry, including actors, directors, producers, writers, technicians, musicians, and related professionals. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. YOUR ACCOUNT

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your profile and to keep it updated. Each person may maintain only one account. You must notify us immediately at support@slcinema.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. THE FREE PLAN

SL Cinema is free to join. Every member receives a complete artist profile, social links, and unlimited project links at no cost under our Free Plan. We reserve the right to introduce additional paid features or plans in the future; any such changes will be communicated clearly and will not affect your existing free access without notice.

4. ACCEPTABLE USE

When using SL Cinema, you agree that you will not:

- Create a fake profile, impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity, credentials, or affiliation with any project
- Upload content that is false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or infringes on the intellectual property or rights of others
- Use another person's photos, biography, or project details without their permission
- Post spam, unsolicited advertising, or content unrelated to professional cinema networking
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other members
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the platform, other accounts, or our systems
- Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or collect data from the platform without our permission

5. YOUR CONTENT

You retain ownership of the content you post on SL Cinema, including your profile information, photos, biography, and project details. By posting content, you grant SL Cinema a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and present that content on the platform for the purpose of operating the artist directory and your public profile. You are solely responsible for the content you post and confirm that you have the right to share it.

6. REPORTING AND MODERATION

SL Cinema allows members to report profiles and projects that appear fake, impersonating, spammy, or otherwise in violation of these Terms. Our administrators review reports and may, at their discretion, edit, hide, or remove content, or suspend or delete accounts found to be in violation of these Terms. We aim to handle reports fairly, but our moderation decisions are final.

7. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, provides false information, or engages in conduct we determine to be harmful to the platform or its members. You may delete your own account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your profile and associated data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. DISCLAIMERS

SL Cinema is a networking platform that connects members of the Sri Lankan Tamil cinema industry. We do not verify the credentials, qualifications, or claims made by individual members, and we are not a party to any agreement, collaboration, employment, or transaction that may result from connections made on the platform. Any dealings between members, including project collaborations, casting decisions, or payments, are solely between those members. SL Cinema is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SL Cinema and its administrators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, or from any interactions, agreements, or disputes between members. Our total liability for any claim relating to the platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, which for most members on our Free Plan is zero.

10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Member profiles may include links to third-party websites and social media accounts, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and personal websites, as well as links to external project pages. SL Cinema is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site linked from the platform.

11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our platform or for legal or operational reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of SL Cinema after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of law principles.
